INGROWN TOE NAILS

Ingrown toe nails occur when a piece of nail spicule grows into the skin. Types of treatment depend on the severity of the ingrown nail. An untreated ingrown nail can often lead to an infection.

 

At Aurora Family Foot Clinic, we minimize the pain using a local anesthetic. Complex or recurring cases may involve a Partial Nail Avulsion (PNA) with matrixectomy which is a minor surgical procedure.
