ATHLETE'S FOOT & FUNGAL NAILS

Athlete's foot or tinea pedis is a common fungal infection of the skin on the foot. The dark and damp condition between the toes and footwear creates an optimal breeding ground for fungus. When untreated, the fungal infection can spread and manifest as odour, itchiness and unsightly appearance. Fungal infections can be effectively treated with prescription topical medications. For fungal nails or onychomycosis, routine reduction of the thickness of the nail and daily use of topical medication is recommended.
